I remember you and the Midnight rock fondly in my heart. I am back in Kentucky, USA.
The only reason i left the Philippines was to work and make some money so i can
return and buy a farm there in Pampanga and live out my days rockin to some old

That's the kind of show we wanted to see in Tallinn,Estonia back in the day on Finnish TV on Saturday night.What were we shown? "Lauantai Tanssit" with Mikko Alotalo,all these grey and bald heads
moving around the screen in front of our faces! Couldn't wait for that to end (parents liked it)! Luckily they showed some good (hopefully!) American movie after that.
These Finnish musicians playing with you were excellent too.Crowds had good fun.This is the most insane piano playing I have ever seen! Great job! Better 30 years later than never I guess (for us to see).

Now for a success story - well on Thursday nights anyway. It has been said there is not much to do in Angeles other to eat, drink, sleep and do it like they do on the Discovery channel. That was until Rockin' Dave arrived in town. See his bio on this link.
He has bought Midnight Rock (Perimeter Road between Foxy and C Italia). He can play the piano with some gusto as his bio suggests and on Thursday when he performs, Midnight Rock is packed and for once the dancing maidens are not the attraction.
It is an act that is well worth catching. He has clearly been at it for a long time and it shows!

Rockin Dave can do more things with a piano than Jerry Lee Lewis could ever imagine. Catch Dave in the mood to give it some welly and you will see a natural performer; fine pianist and a walking encyclopedia of rock & roll in his natural environment. Dave likes a good crowd to play to and good crowds seem to like him. His cabaret girls are getting livelier these day and though they see Dave bashing the ivories every week on Thursday nights Dave can still surprise them a with a new trick or two. Off stage Dave is a touch reserved and always a gentleman. Dave has been in the Rock Business ever since it became a business as opposed to a teenage rebellion. In the "entertainment" district of Angeles City a professional entertainer like Dave is as rare as rocking horse manure. A true gem

I would also mention Midnight Rock bar on thursday nights, with rocking Dave the Owner, amazing on rock and Roll Piano, A pro from the UK ,he is not just very good he is simply Amazing.
Told us he is Introducing more Live music to the bar soon, great because just thursday nights live music of this standard is not enough, see it to believe how good he is. :Fantastic:
What we noticed this great night of entertainment on thursdays it went down a storm with many BFD girls there with there blokes, they loved it. So much better and entertaining for example than the Rap Crap Crap played in too many AC bars . Get to Midnight Rock by 1900hrs to get a good seat at the front as it gets packed ..

Another place with live music is the Midnight rock bar on Perimeter. It has Dave the rocking piano man on thursday nights from about 7.30p with good boogie woogie and rock and roll music. a truly great pianist and entertainer.

Midnight Rock bar on Perimeter Road. Thanks to seeing the advert in the Blue Book, I
had one of my best nights out in years. Gee, could this guy, Rockin Dave play that
piano. All old boogie woogie and rock from the 50's and 60's. And just when you
thought it couldn't get any better the waitress's came around giving away free meals
supplied by Currie Steve. The place was packed and it was standing room only by 8.30
p.m. When I got home I told the wife my reason for being late but she didn't believe
a word I said, as usual. I might take her with me next time but then again, maybe I
won't.

This is a great bar and dave makes it all the greater if he is willing to perform
regularly because his music is spectacular. He is an artist and truly a rocker. What a blend of boogie woogie, rock and big band. I wish there was a dance floor. Besides the great young ladies, the pool table is absolutely one of, if not the best in angeles. It rolls long and true.

GREAT ENTERTAINMENT AT THE MIDNIGHT ROCK
On Wednesday, 26 Aug 09, I witnessed great entertainment at the Midnight Rock. I saw first hand the piano playing and singing of "Rockin Dave" at this new Club that was previously known as "Electric Blue". Dave had been open for a few days already but on this particular night he had sort of a formal opening with the help of some of other Club owners who provided an array of dancers that really livened the place up. Represented were ladies from Emotions, Dr. Holm's, Stampede and Eruptions and of course, the Midnight ladies themselves. The highlight of the evening though had to be the show put on by the man himself - Rocking Dave. This is definitely something different to look forward to and I do believe that Dave will develop a good fan base and some loyal customers. I am hoping that he will perform about every hour on the hour for fifteen minutes or so because he is the main attraction. Yes, he has the ladies, the club is nice, the music is not loud, the prices are reasonable, the dancers are energetic but he does need a few more to fill out the bill. This is a club that will not be an overnight success but it will grow in popularity over time. One can feel comfortable taking your girlfriend there and even the Mrs just to see the antics of Dave on stage. One thing is for sure, the Midnight Rock will continue to Rock on and Dave's piano will not be silenced. He has too much talent to share with the patrons of his Club and his business will grow accordingly. Everyone likes to look at the ladies, me included and there sure are enough places in town to do that to your hearts content but there is always room for a bit of show business as well, thank you, Dave, for providing that.
